At least 59 young partygoers were killed and another 155 injured after a blaze erupted at the Pulse club in Kocani, 100 kilometres east of Skopje, in North Macedonia, on Sunday morning.

The fire broke out suddenly during a concert attended by over 1,000 people, with footage showing flames and smoke engulfing the club. A footballer was among the victims.
